Welcome To Donaghadee Methodist Church

The Methodist Church is on Moat Street in the centre of Donaghadee.  The present building dates from 1909, but there has been a Methodist Society in Donaghadee since 1790, and a chapel since 1813.

Donaghadee is a town of about 7,000 residents located on the Ards Peninsula in Northern Ireland.  Once the main port for ferry traffic from Scotland, its harbour is now used mainly by pleasure craft and by the Donaghadee lifeboat.  Its name is believed to come from the Old Irish for 'the church of St David'.
